Blockhaus (Bunker), Le galon d’or Beach, Charente maritime, France.
This is one of the many bunkers of the atlantic Wall, the nazi’s fortifications during world war II. These, with the old bombs impacts in the forest, are the scars the, landscape still bear. My grandfather was one of the many kids that were forced to build them before he managed to escape.
I grew up playing in those concrete buildings that are covered and discovered by the sand and the tide.
